The Trailblazers: West Coast Eagles 1992 Premiership exhibition

Monday 19 September 2022 - Sunday 29 January 2023

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the historic 1992 AFL Premiership victory of the West Coast Eagles with an exhibition showcasing a range of memorabilia from the iconic game.

The 1992 Premiership is of particular significance as it was the first time the AFL Premiership Cup was won by a team outside Victoria.

This exhibition will bring together a selection of memorabilia from the Club and from some of the 1992 Premiership players and the Coach.  Some of the many items included in the exhibition include the 1992 Premiership Cup, Mick Malthouse’s 1992 Jock McHale Medal, John Worsfold’s 1992 Grand Final playing jumper and his 1992 Premiership Medal, Peter Matera’s bronzed playing boots from this Grand Final, along with his Norm Smith and 1992 Premiership Medals and the signed football that was used in this Grand Final game.

The exhibition will be on display at WA Museum Boola Bardip from Monday 19 September 2022 until the end of January 2023.

"The sense of achievement as a team representing WA football was enormous, and we recall that feeling with as much fondness and pride today."
