Is my Membership valid at all Western Australian Museums?

Your Membership is valid at WA Museum Boola Bardip, WA Maritime Museum and WA Shipwrecks Museum. Our other Museum sites will be introduced at a later date. 


Does my Membership card provide me with entry into the Museum?

If you are a Fan or Friend Member, your Membership card provides you access to WA Maritime Museum and WA Museum Boola Bardip without any prior booking but will be needed to be scanned if you're visiting. All other Museums do not require your Membership card to enter.

Follower Members do not have a Membership card and will be required to purchase tickets for WA Maritime Museum and book free tickets for WA Museum Boola Bardip. 


How do I get my Membership card?

You will receive your digital Membership card via email when you successfully sign up for your Membership. 


I’ve lost my digital Membership card. How can I get a new one? 

Please email us at to request a new card. 


I’ve forgotten to bring my card. Can I still access my Membership benefits? 

You can still get entry and use your Membership discount on events and exhibitions by presenting another form of identification to the front desk and our friendly Visitor Services Officers will confirm your Membership status.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to redeem any other offers without your Membership card. 


I’m unable to use the digital Membership card. How can I get an alternative?

Can I give my Membership card to a friend or relative to use? 

Unfortunately, as per the terms and conditions, only the Membership account holder can use the Membership card. 


How do I sign into the ticketing portal? 

You can access ticket discounts by logging into the ticketing portal. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it by clicking the ‘forgot password’ link. 


Can I pay my Membership with a cheque? 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept cheques as form of payment. You can pay using EFTPOS facilities or in person with cash.


What are the different Membership options and cost?

How do I find out when my Membership will expire? 

Your Membership expiry will be displayed by logging into your Membership account.


When will I be informed of my Membership renewal? 

You will be contacted by WA Museum 30 days prior to the renewal of your Membership. If you have automatic renewal, we will still inform you, though your renewal will happen automatically on the renewal date.


How can I unsubscribe from Member communications? 

If you no longer wish to receive communications from WA Museum, please email us at Please note, unsubscribing from communications may result in your benefits not being fulfilled.


How do I purchase a Membership as a gift?

If you would like to purchase a Membership as a gift, please contact our Membership team at and someone will be in touch. 


How can I update my personal details and contact information? 

You can update your personal information by logging into your account here (link: Alternatively, send us an email and we can do this for you. 


How can I cancel my Membership? 

Memberships can only be cancelled in writing to Membership fees are non-refundable (or only by applicable consumer law). Please visit Terms & Conditions for more information.


When do you inform me of Membership offers, invitations and discounts? 

We send all our Members frequent eNewsletters to your registered email address on your account. If you're not receiving these, please get in touch. 


How can I get my discounted exhibition/program tickets? 

You will be able access any discounted exhibition, tour, event or program tickets through the WA Museum ticketing portal. You must be logged in before you start any transaction to see your discounts. Discounts will be applied when adding events to your booking. 

You can also buy tickets in person upon visiting, though availability is subject to capacity, and you may miss out on an event if you don’t book prior to arrival. 


How do I identify which tours and programs are Members-only or have a discount? 

A Membership logo will be displayed on an event listing if the event is available only for Members or has a discount available.


How can I use my discounts at the Museum shops? 

If you are a Fan or Friend Member, simply show your Membership card to access your discount. Please note, you won’t be able to access the discount without your official Membership card.

Your Membership card is valid at WA Maritime Museum, WA Shipwrecks Museum and WA Museum Boola Bardip’s retail shops.

I’ve joined as a Member but haven’t received any further information. What happens next? 

Once you sign up as a Member, you will receive a Membership welcome email and your digital Membership card. You will then receive periodic event information and eNewsletter.
