The Ambassador to Australia of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Her Excellency Mrs Marion Derckx, has taken a hard hat tour of WA’s New Museum site in the Perth Cultural Centre to see first-hand where some of the stories of our significant shared cultural heritage will be on display.

An exhibition featuring exquisite photos and oral histories of indigenous people from Western Australia, Indonesia and Southern Africa who claim Dutch heritage through adventurers visiting their shores, opens this Saturday at the Museum of Geraldton (previously the WA Museum – Geraldton).

The Western Australian Museum’s famous De Vlamingh Plate will travel to the Nation’s capital next month to take part in the National Library of Australia’s Mapping our World exhibition.
