Experience the history and culture of Ancient China. 

Spend the day at WA Museum Boola Bardip and take part in activities designed to deepen student's understanding and appreciation of Chinese history and cultural traditions.

What’s Included:

A visit to the Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor exhibition. 

Hands-on activities including:

  • Traditional Chinese games
  • Chinese art and craft
  • Calligraphy
  • Chinese dance
  • Exploration of traditional dress and costumes

What will the day look like?

The day is designed to engage your students and further their learning in Ancient History outside the classroom.

Arrive by 9.15am to allow time for a quick morning snack before gathering outside the Museum's main entrance, where the fun begins! Students will be placed into four groups, with a maximum of 32 students per group.  

Please note:  If you're bringing fewer than 32 students, we may ask you to join with another small group from another school. Learning and Engagement staff will confirm these arrangements before the day.

Students will rotate through the activities offered throughout the day. One rotation will include a one-hour visit to the exhibition.

Rotations will be 50 minutes at each activity and 10 minutes for transitions. 

Rotation 1 | 9.45am – 10.45am 

Rotation 2 | 10.45am -11.45am 

Lunch | 11.45am – 12.15pm 

Rotation 3 | 12.15pm – 1.15pm 

Rotation 4 | 1.15pm – 2.15pm
