Explore stories of movement and migration across Perth and Western Australia.
Students will investigate the restricted or forced movement of Aboriginal peoples, overseas migration to the state, and internal migration, uncovering the reasons and impacts through gallery exhibits and inquiry-based activities.
This program will explore the Ngallang Koort Boodja Wirn and Connections Galleries.
Student experience
Students will:
- Undertake gallery exploration in Ngallang Koort Boodja Wirn and Connections Galleries from an inquiry question to explore reasons for migration
- Identify push/pull factors of migration in and to WA
- Hear about the forced and restricted movement of Aboriginal peoples across WA
