THE CHAIN PROJECT is a state-wide community engagement initiative by Co3 Contemporary Dance that prompts participants to reflect on ideas of perseverance, hope and endurance.

 

The digital project is devised by Co3 Artistic Director Raewyn Hill with video artist Elham Eshraghian-Haakansson and invites people in our community to engage in 3 simple steps:

  1. OBSERVE a dance film sequence 'In search of the nightingale'
  2. REFLECT on the question 'What do we say to ourselves to overcome and endure?'
  3. PARTICIPATE by searching the constellation for a star from other submissions, and respond with your reflection in kind.

As submissions are gathered from our community, the constellation grows, and becomes the conceptual building blocks for ideas explored in the mainstage performance of ARCHITECT OF THE INVISIBLE, set to premiere at the State Theatre Centre of WA from 11-15 October, 2023.

Co3 will also run a competition to name the constellation that will be projected on the WA Museum Gaol wall from 1-15 October.
