Introducing the Kaya Wandjoo Club, an exclusive program tailored for adults with intellectual disabilities.

This initiative offers a profound and inclusive connection to Boola Bardip's gallery content, fostering a secure and enjoyable environment. After a highly successful pilot phase with strong engagement, this bi-monthly program is now open to service providers via application and suitability review.

NDIS-trained Boola Bardip Volunteers lead sessions, featuring captivating activities like in-gallery scavenger hunts, crafts, and team-building, culminating in a delightful "yarning circle" discussion about the day's highlights.

Running bi-monthly throughout the year, this gallery-based, activity-led program is open to expressions of interest from NDIS service providers and aims to make our Museum more accessible to guests in this demographic.

About you

The successful service provider will be expected to:

  • Be a registered NDIS service provider working within the field of Intellectual Disability.
  • Commit to regular quarterly sessions for a period of 12 months.
  • Provide adequate support worker-to-client ratio.

More about the sessions

Our sessions are scheduled bi-monthly to match Museum opening hours, based on a day agreed upon with our partner organization. Please be aware that sessions won't take place during School Holidays.

Trained staff and NDIS-certified volunteers will lead the program. These volunteers have undergone disability training with a reputable service provider.
