Discovery and exploration for big minds and little hands!
Designed for curious minds aged 2–5, this playful and enriching program invites children to explore their world.
Led by our expert educators, each session blends hands-on activities with exploration of museum objects and galleries, with a focus on children's connections and contributions to the world.
Through stories, movement, creative play, and sensory activities, children will begin to form an understanding of who they are before discovering the wonders of the bigger world. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
The program celebrates care for our planet, inspiring young learners to become thoughtful, respectful caretakers of the world around them.
"Every week has been well thought out and educational. The activities are very age appropriate, and the museum visits are engaging." Parent

Term 1 2026 - Jurassic Juniors
Calling all junior palaeontologists! Jurassic Juniors explores prehistoric life in Western Australia — from dinosaurs to marine reptiles and megafauna! We'll dig up fossils, measure dinosaurs both towering and tiny, examine features (like teeth!) and uncover any traces left behind by the incredible creatures that once roamed this land.
See program below.
Step into the shoes of a palaeontologist. Uncover and hold real fossils and then make one of your own.
Explore dinosaur diets, looking at teeth, claws and bodies.
Investigate trace fossils such as dinosaur tracks and hold coprolite (dinosaur poo)!
Look at different coverings, even feathers! How can they help dinosaurs hide?
Bigger than a bus, smaller than a chicken — how big were dinosaurs? We will get measuring and find out!
Take a look at the world of flying reptiles, like pterosaurs and marine reptiles like ichthyosaurs.
We'll be introduced to megafauna such as diprotodon and thylacoleo and learn about their modern-day ancestors.
Where are all the dinosaurs? Find out what happened to them and where you can see their distant relatives now.
