Humans impact their environment through their habits, actions, and choices – explore stories encouraging visitors to consider how the decisions we make today determine our future.  

This professional learning will explore how we incorporate sustainability at Boola Bardip in our education programs and ways this can be done in the classroom.

Using inquiry-based and hands-on activities, we will delve into how to empower students and educators alike to make sustainable choices for the planet. 

This program is best suited for primary school teachers. 

During this PL you will: 

  • Explore the effects of habitat fragmentation and climate change using hands-on, engaging activities that can be replicated in the classroom  

  • Consider sustainability messages and where these can be linked to the curriculum and integrated into learning programs 

  • Visit galleries highlighting WA sustainability stories throughout Boola Bardip

  • Experience how sustainability is integrated into Boola Bardip's education programs

  • Enjoy a light refreshment and meet like-minded educators 

Participation in Professional Learning will meet standards 2.4, 3.4 and 6.2 of the Professional Standards outlined by the Teacher Registration Board of WA.
