Whilst our open day event is suitable for all ages*, please note that our volunteers are required to be over 18. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
*Children attending must be minimum 6 years of age and 100cm tall to enter the submarine.

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, we invite you to join us for a volunteer open day event.
Have you ever thought about volunteering? Discover how you can get involved as a volunteer! Explore the diverse volunteer roles available, from assisting with our Cold War era submarine to our steam engine exhibition and more.
Attendees of the Open Day will have the opportunity to see inside our submarine, HMAS Ovens, as well as inside the Robert Steele Steam Machinery Exhibition. Guided by our existing volunteers, you will learn firsthand what they find fulfilling about volunteering in these roles.
We recommend arriving at 10am to ensure you can make the most out of the tours offered!
Our volunteers are required to be aged 18 years or above.
Light refreshments will be served. Registration is essential.
