Join us for stories, fun, and celebrate the Italian Epiphany tradition of La Befana!
Step into a delightful celebration of Italian traditions with stories, songs, craft, and more. And learn about La Befana—the kind, elderly lady from Italian folklore who delivers gifts to children on the night before Epiphany, sometimes flying on her broomstick to do it!
As part of our From Nonna with Love exhibition, we’re thrilled to host special guest Nonnas who will share their traditions, creativity, and joy with young visitors.
Meet our delightful puppet, Nonna Angela, who will introduce children to our visiting Nonnas. Together, we’ll enjoy stories, games, and hands-on crafts, celebrating the wisdom of elders and the joy of intergenerational connections.
We’ll also share a local bilingual story, Will the Befana Come to Fremantle?, along with other picture books that bring La Befana’s wonderful traditions to life.
