From quirky competitions to splashy parties and retro dance-offs, there’s something for every young adventurer!
Start the season by dreaming big with the Goldfields Next Biggest Thing Competition. From Thursday 1 January to Friday 30 January 2026, kids aged 7–17 can design and build a scale model of the next iconic “big thing” for the Goldfields, whether it’s clever, quirky, or completely out-of-this-world. Snap a photo of your masterpiece and email it to goldfields@museum.wa.gov.au for a chance to win an amazing prize pack. Entry is free, and the winner will be announced on Friday 30 January.
