Professional learning programs

WA Maritime Museum offers professional learning and teacher familiarisation opportunities throughout the year. Our professional learning programs aim to be hands-on, and allow teachers to develop their understanding and professional practice by drawing on the Museum’s collections, stories and our curriculum-linked education programs. We discuss how these themes and programs can be extended into the classroom and how teachers can develop additional supporting resources. Our intention is to support the resourcefulness and creativity that teachers apply when developing learning opportunities for their students by showcasing our content and promoting time-efficient pathways into our collections and story resources.
