On Saturday, 13 August 2022 we welcomed our one-millionth visitor to WA Museum Boola Bardip since opening in November 2020.
Olivia, Jack and Pia were surprised and delighted as cheers erupted and streamers descended on their entry to the Museum.
The lucky family were greeted by Minister John Carey, Member for Perth and Minister for Housing; Lands; Homelessness; Local Government and WA Museum CEO, Alec Coles who presented them with their exclusive prize pack:
- a cocktail function for 20 of you friends, including after-hours access to the Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition;
- a VIP invitation for four to the launch event of the Wonderland exhibition and the Season 2023 launch in December 2022;
- a Family Friend Membership to Boola Bardip for life; and
- a WA Museum shop prize pack valued at $500.
This milestone is a celebration of how enthusiastically WA Museum Boola Bardip has been welcomed into the hearts of Western Australians.
The Museum has enjoyed strong attendance, community support and feedback with an overall satisfaction rating of 97 per cent in 2021/22. Visitors have enjoyed a vast array of innovative programs, including temporary exhibitions, events and learning programs.
Since opening, the Museum has been recognised with numerous awards and commendations across categories including best architecture, exhibitions, programs, and cultural tourism. The 1,000m2 special exhibition facilities continue to attract world premier exhibitions, including the current Dinosaurs of Patagonia exhibition.
Due to its unique State-wide content, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices woven throughout the exhibitions, WA Museum Boola Bardip is WA’s premium cultural tourism attraction, inspiring visitors to plan and undertake activities and holidays across the State.
This is an exciting milestone for WA Museum Boola Bardip and we were delighted to be able to share it with the lucky family.
