Explore wildflowers through watercolour painting and learn about their role in supporting pollinators.
Discover the vibrant colours of the Nyoongar season of Djeran. Then, swap your paintbrush for tools and build a bee hotel - giving local native bees a cosy place to rest after a hard day's work!
During this program, participants will:
- Learn watercolour painting techniques
- Create a stunning piece of wildflower artwork to take home
- Build a DIY bee hotel to provide a cosy home for local native bees
- Discover the fascinating world of pollinators
Tools and materials used under strict guidance include:
- Hand tools: Hand drills, hack saw, screwdrivers and tabletop vice
- Protective equipment: Safety glasses, latex-free gloves, protective aprons and dust masks
- Materials: Plywood, bamboo and PVA wood glue.
Join us for a hands-on mix of art, nature, and DIY, while supporting local wildlife. This workshop is the bee's knees!
