Learn industry techniques in this half-day taxidermy workshop.

This workshop is designed to inspire and challenge you as you work with high-quality materials and learn from an expert in the field to gain the skills and knowledge to create your own piece of taxidermy to take home.

Under the expert guidance of Teori Shannon, this workshop teaches the process of bird wing preservation. Participants learn a variety of museum techniques — viability of specimens, skinning and defleshing, skin preservation and positioning, preening feathers.

Participants take their final specimen’s home with them displayed in a shadow box frame.

Subject specimen will be Cacatua sanguinea.

This is a beginner workshop suitable for those over the age of 14.

Please note: All materials are ethically sourced, where possible. Borax and acetone will be used.
