Ocean Ink Lab: A creative dive into marine biology
Put your lab coats on and get ready to bring marine science, creativity and robotics together.
Get up close with one of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures as you investigate squid anatomy through a guided dissection and uncover the adaptations that help it thrive beneath the waves.
Then get creative using real squid ink to produce your own ocean-inspired artwork, before tackling marine investigations and a robotics challenge that explores how technology helps scientists discover the secrets of the deep.
What to expect
- Carefully dissect a squid to learn about its biology and adaptations
- Create a unique artwork to take home using squid ink
- Explore the role of science and art in recording the natural world
- Explore marine environments in our exhibitions
- Take on a robotics challenge using Ozobots
