This community exhibition showcases Creative Challenge, AWESOME Arts core education program.
Each year AWESOME recruits a team of amazing, professional artists to undertake a one or two-week residency within a partner school or community. The artists facilitate process driven, creative workshops, based on a theme, with a group of participants. The workshops require the participants undertake research, conceptual development and creation of an artwork, or artworks, which celebrate their unique identity and the community in which they live.
Creative Challenge invites young Western Australians to share what makes them unique, connect with their community and celebrate the rich cultural and environmental diversity of their country. This exhibition reflects the last 12 months of residencies.
We invite you to journey across the state to experience the stories, films and artistic creations from young people living in regional, rural and remote Western Australia.
