During the Early Jurassic period, approximately 165 -180 million years ago central Patagonia was inhabited by Condorraptor currumili, a 5-metre long theropod dinosaur.

Condorraptor, along with the majority of large theropods are all part of a group, which includes all theropods more closely related to modern birds than to the primitive theropods of the late Triassic period.

Weight roughly 200 – 300 kgs
Discovered at Canadón Asfalto Formation, Chubut, Argentina.
