Book with the presenter

For one unforgettable night, Brendan Pang is setting his modern Chinese table at WA Museum Boola Bardip — a five-course collaboration of flavour and craft, paired with Limeburners Single Malt Whisky and the Terracotta Warriors after dark.

The evening begins with a private viewing of Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor, followed by a menu inspired by Chinese tradition and Brendan’s signature style. Think hand-pleated dumplings, rich umami broths and delicate seafood, each course paired with Limeburners’ award-winning single malts introduced by founder Cameron Syme.

“A meeting of two crafts, whisky and food, both bound by time, tradition and transformation.”

Between courses, guests will hear stories from Brendan Pang, Cameron Syme and a WA Museum curator - tales from the kitchen, the distillery and the ancient clay warriors that inspired the evening.

In collaboration with Heyder & Shears and Limeburners Whisky, Brendan transforms the Museum into his kitchen for a single evening. Expect smoky, honeyed pairings, a table set in soft light and contemporary florals, and stories that trace the artistry of both kitchen and kiln.

A night where legacy is plated, poured and remembered.

Additional Information

  1. Additional themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase.
  2. As this is a curated set menu, we regret that dietary requirements cannot be unable to accommodated.
  3. For group bookings or tickets without whisky pairing, please reach out to amanda@heydershears.com.au (group rate applies to bookings of six or more).
The Chef

Brendan Pang

Beloved for his delicate hand-pleated dumplings and modern Chinese cooking, Brendan Pang rose to prominence on MasterChef Australia and now leads Perth’s cult-favourite eatery Bumplings, where he celebrates nostalgia, family and flavour in every dish.

The Whisky

Limeburners Single Malt Whisky

Founded in Albany, Western Australia, Limeburners crafts small-batch single malts defined by precision, patience and a deep sense of place. Each drop captures the character of the region and the meticulous care of its distillers, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of Western Australian whisky.
