Dive Unders - after hours – Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to Dive Unders: after hours at WA Museum Boola Bardip. By purchasing a ticket, registering an attendee or attending the event, attendees and their parent/adult guardian agree to the following conditions.
Registration and Consent
Dive Unders: after hours is a guardian-free event for young people aged 12–17 years. While parents/carers are not permitted within the main event spaces, the event is supervised by Museum staff, security and authorised event personnel.
A parent/adult guardian must complete registration and provide:
- Attendee full name and date of birth
- Parent/adult guardian and emergency contact details
- Relevant medical, allergy, accessibility or behavioural information
- Consent for emergency medical treatment if required
The Museum reserves the right to refuse entry where required information or consent has not been provided.
Entry and Departure
All attendees must hold a valid ticket and may be asked to provide school, student or age identification on entry.
Bag checks, sign-out procedures and other security measures will be used for safety purposes.
Parents/adult guardians are responsible for arranging safe transport to and from the event.
If an attendee becomes unwell, injured or unable to remain safely at the event, the nominated emergency contact will be contacted and required to arrange collection.
Behaviour and Safety
All attendees must behave respectfully toward other attendees, staff, performers and Museum property.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, vandalism, physical aggression, unsafe conduct or inappropriate online behaviour will not be tolerated.
Museum staff, security and authorised event personnel will be present throughout the event. Attendees must follow all reasonable directions provided by staff and security.
Attendees will be removed from the event and a parent/adult guardian contacted if behaviour places themselves, others or Museum property at risk.
Quiet or wellbeing spaces will be available for attendees requiring support during the event.
Food, Drink and Personal Property
Water refill stations will be available throughout the event.
Where food is supplied, allergen information will be displayed where reasonably practicable; however, the Museum cannot guarantee allergen-free environments.
No outside food or drink will be permitted
Alcohol, vaping, smoking, illegal substances, weapons and prohibited items are strictly not permitted.
Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. Bags may be inspected on entry.
Photography and Filming
Photography and filming may occur during the event for promotional, educational and media purposes.
Attendees are to inform the photographer if they do not wish to be photographed.
Attendees must not engage in inappropriate filming, photography or online behaviour that compromises the privacy or safety of others.
Medical Treatment and Emergencies
In the event of illness, injury or emergency, Museum staff will provide or arrange reasonable first aid and contact emergency services if required.
By registering for the event, parent/adult guardians' consent to reasonable emergency medical treatment being obtained where necessary.
The WA Museum maintains emergency management and evacuation procedures in line with venue safety requirements.
Liability
The WA Museum implements reasonably practicable safety measures, supervision processes and emergency procedures to support attendee wellbeing throughout the event.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, parent/adult guardians acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks associated with public events including crowd movement, noise, lighting effects and physical activity.
The Western Australian Museum, the State of Western Australia and their employees, contractors and agents are indemnified and released from claims arising from participation in the event, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
