Climb aboard the OceanXplorer, a state-of-the-art ocean research vessel exploring the vast oceans of the world.
Students can join the team of scientists of a high-tech ocean research vessel as part of the OceanXperience exhibition. Start with a briefing at Mission Control then become a scientist, moving through different areas of the ship, carrying out scientific observations and activities along the way. Students can choose a mission tracking either a humpback whale, orca or hammerhead shark, completing a series of STEM-based research tasks at different stations throughout the exhibition.
This exhibition showcases cutting edge technology in ocean research, a chance for students to see STEM in action in the real world. With curriculum links to STEM, Science, Digital Technologies and HASS (Geography), don't miss this opportunity to go on a scientific ocean journey without leaving dry land!
