Join proud Mirning/Kokatha woman, Debra Hasledine, WA Museum's Assistant Curator Anthropology and Archaeology, in creating your own gumnut bush animal, while learning about the different animals that live on Nyoongar boodja (Country) through a hands-on experience.

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn about NAIDOC Week and what it means to Get Up, Stand Up, and Show Up!
  • Learn about the local animals on Nyoongar boodja through a hands-on learning experience.
  • Have the opportunity to create your own gumnut bush animal baby to take home.

We encourage parents to please stay and help your child, and to enjoy the experience!

Join us at the WA Museum as we celebrate NAIDOC Week 2022, around this year's theme, Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!
