Head On Photo Festival
The fifteenth annual Head On Festival 2024 offers a diverse and compelling program of free exhibitions, discussions and social events framed by the evocative visual narratives presented.
This year we received an incredible 4000+ applications from 58 countries telling powerful stories about community, conflict, the environment, and more. Stories that connect with our audience, sparking feelings of empathy, awe, and inspiration.
We chose 90+ exhibitions and 600+ artists to showcase across Sydney, Australia and online. We are committed to sharing diverse ideas and building Australia’s reputation as an international cultural powerhouse, broadening the talent base that comes to Sydney.
As one of Australia’s few remaining photography organisations, our work in storytelling and curation is more important than ever, especially in illuminating the perspectives, styles, and forms that break new ground.
INSPIRATION AND INNOVATION, STORY-TELLING AND IMAGINATION.
Australia’s world-leading photography festival once again filters photography down to its finest.
