Every Friday night, skip the daytime crowds and immerse yourself in this world-exclusive exhibition, only at Boola Bardip.

Your ticket includes entry to the Terracotta Warriors exhibition, plus talks and cultural performances. Drinks and snacks are available to purchase on the night*.

Step back 2,000 years and come face to face with one of the world’s greatest cultural treasures, featuring Emperor Qin Shihuang’s Terracotta Warriors and over 225 ancient artefacts, now showcased after dark.

Exhibition entry is ticketed between 5:30pm and 9pm, with three session times available: 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

Curated by Sydney’s own Derrick Gee, this 4-hour sonic journey sets the mood for your Jade Nights experience. Think deep vibes, rich textures, and the spirit of the exhibit distilled into sound — the perfect after-hours backdrop.

Activities from 5:30pm 

Explore fate Chinese style with Culture Care WA. Learn about wish making and fortune telling (Qiu Qian). Guess at riddles, play mahjong, make lucky bracelets or watch calligraphy being made.

 

31 October | FESTIVAL NIGHT | Double Ninth Festival

Gosnells Chinese Association and WA Museum celebrate health and long life with an introduction to traditional Chinese medicine, Yang Style tai chi demonstration and dance performances.

7 November | TALK | Globalizing Qin: Storytelling across Borders

Dr Maggie Ying Jiang explores how the legacy of Qin Shihuang—China’s first emperor—has been transformed into a globally recognized cultural and intellectual property (IP) through diverse media forms. From monumental archaeological exhibitions to international films and historical dramas, Qin’s image has been strategically curated and disseminated across platforms to engage global audiences.

An evening of music played on traditional string instruments — the erhu (fiddle) and yangqin (dulcimer).

19 December | MUSIC | Performances by SZE Tsang and Asian Milhouse

SZe Tsang performance 6.30pm | Asian Milhouse performance 7.30pm 

SZE Tsang is an independent audio-visual artist, researcher, performer and sound designer residing in Boorloo/Perth. Through digital audio-visual work they explore the intersections of history, place and self.

Asian Milhouse is a solo project from prolific songwriter and performer Joshua Chan, a figure entrenched in the Boorloo/Perth music scene now stretching their wings elsewhere.
