From clay to night—face the Terracotta Warriors after dark.

Every Friday night, skip the daytime crowds and immerse yourself in this world-exclusive exhibition, only at Boola Bardip.

Your ticket includes entry to the Terracotta Warriors exhibition, plus talks and cultural performances. Drinks and snacks are available to purchase on the night*.

Step back 2,000 years and come face to face with one of the world’s greatest cultural treasures, featuring Emperor Qin Shihuang’s Terracotta Warriors and over 225 ancient artefacts, now showcased after dark.

Exhibition entry is ticketed between 5:30pm and 9pm, with three session times available: 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

Please note there is no Jade Nights session running 19 September.

Dr Qian Gong unpacks the intriguing funeral customs of the Qin and Han dynasties and shines a light on the world of tomb robbers.

Dr Qian Gong considers archaeology in China today and looks at the intersection of history, preservation, and passion.

 

10 October | TALK & MUSIC | Ancient Relics, Ancient Instruments

Talk 6.30pm | Music 7:30pm

Explore significant objects in the exhibition with a visiting Chinese academic. Listen to the soothing sound of traditional instruments. Teresa Tan plays the guzheng (dulcimer) accompanied by Lynn Lin on erhu (fiddle).

 

17 October | MUSIC | Performance by Flying Horse

Josh Chan's instrumental cinematic soul band is inspired by traditional Chinese melodies. Let this new group take you from ancient pasts to modern Soul.

 

24 October | DEMONSTRATION | All About Fate

Activities from 5:30pm 

Explore fate Chinese style with Culture Care WA. Learn about wish making and fortune telling (Qiu Qian). Guess at riddles, play mahjong, make lucky bracelets or watch calligraphy being made.

SZE Tsang is an independent audio-visual artist, researcher, performer and sound designer residing in Boorloo/Perth. Through digital audio-visual work they explore the intersections of history, place and self.

Asian Milhouse is a solo project from prolific songwriter and performer Joshua Chan, a figure entrenched in the Boorloo/Perth music scene now stretching their wings elsewhere.
