Embark on an up-late journey into space and back in time at the Lunar Lounge pop-up bar in our latest exhibition, To the Moon.
Blending retro vibes with cutting-edge technology, this one-of-a-kind experiential exhibition turns into a bar every Friday evening. Grab a cocktail while enjoying a line-up of expert talks and engaging activations, all while basking in the Moon's glow under Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon installation.

Music with Tender is the Night quartet at 6.30pm - 7.10pm & 7.30pm - 8.10pm
Since their backyard beginnings in 2020, Tender is the Night has been serenading audiences with sweet string melodies. Join us for a special moonlit evening as the quartet illuminates two amazing WA songwriters, Joni in the Moon and Angie Colman.
Talk with Dr Adil Khan, Research Associate at ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space from UWA | 6.30pm - 7pm
Explore the realm of off-earth habitation. Hear how plants can be engineered for space exploration and altered Earth climates. Dr Adil Khan will discuss a recently developed new programming language that can be written into a plant’s genome to improve agricultural yields and adapt crops for distinct environments.
Space Oddity: Performance by Aquila 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Join us for a night of music inspired by the cosmos. A string quartet and drums will play The Beatles' "Across the Universe," David Bowie's "Space Oddity," The Killers' "Spaceman," Muse's "Starlight" and more. Enjoy a diverse array of genres, including classical, pop, rock, and electronic, all linked by their thematic exploration of space and the mysteries of the universe.
Emo-tionally Charged Quiz Night | 6.30pm - 8.00pm
Embrace your inner angst and join our Famous Sharron for a night of emo trivia! Test your knowledge of sad songs, iconic bands and pop culture from the '90s and '00s. Black eyeliner is mandatory. Prepare for laughs, tears, and a night so emo it hurts (in a good way)!

See the Moon in Radio Colours. Discover how lunar radio waves allow us to map cosmic magnetic fields, probe the origins of the Universe, and even search for signs of life on distant planets. Don't miss this opportunity to see the Moon — and the Universe — in an entirely new light!

For the past three years, Echo Omen has released a new song with each new moon. Experience their latest creations live under the Moon, with an evening of soulful acoustic folk, upbeat grooves and abstract hip-hop.
Spinning the Moon | 6.30pm - 7.30pm
YA authors speak about the art of mystery writing for young audiences—a panel discussion with Troy Hunter, Holden Sheppard, and Kate Emery.
Performance by Menagerie Choir | 7.45pm - 8.20pm
Beam yourself aboard Menagerie Choir's starship and lose yourself to a close encounter of the choral kind. Join us for an evening of original arrangements from Perth's premier indie-pop choir as we turn our gaze to the moon and beyond.

Learn about robotic and human lunar exploration in the past and the future. Dr Katarina Miljkovic talks about the successes of Apollo’s historic lunar landings and how this laid the groundwork for ongoing space exploration. More than 50 years after the Apollo program, its legacy lives on.

Step into a lunar dream with Jessie Gordon, Perth's sun-shy jazz enchantress. As a 20-time Fringe World Award winner, Jessie’s moonlit performance will weave through jazz, blues, and roots with a celestial touch. Let her captivating voice and stellar repertoire illuminate the night, making for an unforgettable evening under the Moon.
Talk with Clare Testoni | 6.30pm - 7.00pm
Writer, puppeteer, and folklorist Clare Testoni tells the story of the moon's many faces in folk and fairy tales around the world. Explore the stories of Moon Princesses from Japan, fox moon maidens from Russia, and The Man in The Moon from England, alongside other snippets of fables and tales of lunacy and love.
Performance with Grievous Bodily Calm | 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Listen to the otherworldly sounds of Grievous Bodily Calm, a five-piece instrumental collective from Perth whose genre-blending signature sound and high-energy live show infuse IDM, beat music, and jazz improvisation with modern electronic production.
