Brightly coloured traditional Latin American houses have been cut from magazines and collaged together in this collabortive artwork created by the Latin American community in Perth. Across the houses are other images such as body parts (arms, legs, eyes, mouths) and clouds, creating a whimsical and bright landscape.

Join ESPACIO LATINX and AQUELARRE: Espacio Creativo in the month of September at the WA Museum Boola Bardip to explore and celebrate Latin American culture!

Over four exciting weeks engage with Latin American creatives across exciting art and culture workshops. We look forward to welcoming you and letting Australia know that my home is your home!

Collaboratively created by the Latin American community living in Perth, MI CASA SU CASA, tells a story about collective identity, changing landscapes, and what ‘home’ means to those who are currently not there. 

Across 4 workshops this community of creators came together under artist Laura Melissa to create a community artwork that tells a piece of our beloved home, Latin America. 

This artwork will be exhibited across September in the Community Stories Showcase at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
