Blast off into Minecraft’s lunar landscape with our Mission to the Moon!

Take a virtual journey to build moon landscapes, design space stations, and explore the wonders of the moon using Minecraft. This adventure blends gaming with learning, enhancing teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills. Whether you're a Minecraft pro or a newbie, this program offers an out-of-this-world experience for everyone.

In this workshop, you'll experience unique gameplay with special mods and assets and learn how to create your own mods, adding a new dimension to your Minecraft adventures.

During this action-packed workshop, you will:

  • Need basic proficiency with keyboard functions.
  • Explore the To the Moon exhibition for inspiration.
  • Design and create your own lunar landscape in Minecraft.
  • Craft your own mod to enhance gameplay.
  • Share your creations with fellow adventurers and take them home on a USB.

You will be playing Minecraft on a PC, not a gaming console. Therefore, you must have a basic knowledge of using a computer keyboard and mouse.

*All technical equipment required will be provided; however, please bring a 4GB USB to download and take home your work.

National Companion Cards are accepted at the WA Museum Boola Bardip. Due to the nature of this workshop, companion card bookings should be made by contacting reception@museum.wa.gov.au
