Get crafty with a full day of creative fun! 

In this brand-new workshop, young makers will explore colour, shape and culture as they design their own wearable art and lanterns. Working with a variety of materials and techniques, participants will be encouraged to experiment and express their creativity in a relaxed and supportive space.

Perfect for kids who love to explore, design, create and let their ideas shine!

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Design and create a variety of their own handmade treasures, including jewellery and lanterns.  
  • Learn new creative techniques and the basics of jewellery crafting.
  • Explore the significance of lanterns in Chinese culture.

Don't forget to bring your water bottle and lunch!

Drop and leave programs enable juniors to experience the Museum independently, discover and learn something new in an area of interest and access materials and resources that would not normally be available at home. All programs are managed and monitored by our experienced Learning and Engagement staff.
