Join us for a bespoke tour of To the Moon. Explore the mysteries of the cosmos and connect with the night sky up close through telescopes.
International Observe the Moon Night brings people around the globe together in appreciation of the Moon, the sky and the world around us. Throughout the evening, you'll have the chance to:
- Explore the To the Moon exhibition
- Join Rick Tonello, Chief Astronomer of the Gravity Discovery Centre, and Helen Simondson, Curator of To the Moon and Manager of WA Museum Boola Bardip, for a guided tour starting at 6.45pm.
- Step out onto the balconies at Boola Bardip to gaze at sections of the night sky.
- Observe the Moon’s visible craters, canyons, and seas through telescopes (available from 7.45pm).
- Discuss fascinating topics like distant galaxies, dying stars, and even moon landing conspiracy theories.
- Capture stunning close-up photos of the Moon through a telescope.
