Experience the wonder of celestial objects up close through telescopes, and seize the opportunity to capture your own breathtaking image of the moon with guidance from renowned astronomy photographer, Roger Groom.
Throughout the evening, you'll have the chance to:
- Explore the To the Moon exhibition, delving into fascinating insights about our lunar companion, from its historical significance to its effects on Earth.
- Step out onto the balconies at Boola Bardip and gaze at sections of the night sky, while astronomers from ICRAR answer all your burning questions about space.
Does life exist outside of the solar system? What do black holes really look like? - Learn the art of astrophotography from Roger Cook, who will demonstrate how to capture breathtaking images of the moon using both professional cameras and your smartphone paired with a telescope.
