WA Museum Boola Bardip has teamed up with renowned Indigenous artist Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse to introduce a highly engaging series of experiences that focus on the importance of keeping Nyoongar language and culture alive as well as learning original Nyoongar language songs.

The program, focusing on Nyoongar language workshops and musical performances, welcomes people from all ages and abilities and focuses on the four principles of Koort (heart), Moort (family/community), Boodja (land) and Koorlangka (children/legacy). Songs include Bindi Bindi, which looks at the parallels between Nyoongar language and the journey of the Butterfly, and Ninnyok, a story that connects to ANZAC narratives.

Workshops run for four consecutive Sundays and on the last workshop, participants are invited to bring along their friends and family for a sing-along concert in language.
