Join us for a bespoke tour of To the Moon. Explore the mysteries of the cosmos and connect with the night sky up close through telescopes.

International Observe the Moon Night brings people around the globe together in appreciation of the Moon, the sky and the world around us.

Throughout the evening, you'll have the chance to:

  • Explore the To the Moon exhibition
  • Take part in a guided tour of the exhibition with Rick Tonello, Chief Astronomer of the Gravity Discovery Centre and Helen Simondson, Curator of To the Moon and Manager of WA Museum Boola Bardip. Tour starts 6.45pm.
  • Step out onto the balconies at Boola Bardip, gaze at sections of the night sky and observe the moon’s visible craters, canyons and seas. Discuss topics like distant galaxies, dying stars, complex astronomical concepts and even moon landing conspiracy theories. Telescopes available from 7.45pm.
  • Shoot the moon – take close-up lunar photos through a telescope.
  • Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to discover the wonders of the night sky!
