WA Portrait Artists presents: Pop-up Portraits
Discover the art of portraiture at Pop-up Portraits, a unique outdoor life drawing experience by WA Portrait Artists. Set in a relaxed outdoor setting, this event invites you to sketch Perth performers - who will sit as live models while you capture their likeness. You'll be under the guidance of some of WA's finest portrait artists.
Explore the expressive power of pencil and charcoal as you capture the human form. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned sketcher, this is a chance to slow down, observe and connect through art.
All drawing materials will be supplied, though participants are welcome to bring their own.
Location: City Room (outside the main entrance), WA Museum Boola Bardip
Supported by The Lester Prize and Western Australian Museum
About WA Portrait Artists: Formed in 2012, WA Portrait Artists is a collective of accomplished artists who each include portraiture in their practice. Members have been recognised in major national and international portraiture prizes—including the Archibald, Doug Moran, Portia Geach, and Shirley Hannan—or selected through juried membership. The association exists to support, inspire, and promote portraiture through collaboration, exhibitions, and community engagement.
