Here at WA Museum Boola Bardip, designed by OMA and Hassell, heritage and contemporary structures complement each other.
New volumes wrap around the heritage buildings to create two core elements; two intersecting circulation loops that offer a variety of curatorial possibilities, and a ‘City Room’ – a public space at the Museum’s centre for cultural programs and daily activities.
During the tour, OMA Australian Director Paul Jones and Project Architect Christopher Hing Fay will explain how the architectural design of the Museum has enriched the institution as a space for Western Australia’s collection of stories. They will showcase opportunities for the public to engage with the Museum’s architecture in new ways.
