WA Museum's monthly LGBTQIA+ focused choir.
QUoir is a Community Choir for everyone and anyone who feels the need to shake off the stress of every day in communal song.
Presented by WA Museum Boola Bardip and led by the iconic duo Queency and Tara John of the WA Bad Ass Gospel Choir, this is a safe space for community, allies, families/inter-generational groups, and anyone who needs to flex their pipes!
QUoir is a little different to your regular. The soundtrack is comprised entirely of songs by queer artists and songs that have resonated with queer audiences throughout the decades. Think Madonna, Sam Smith, Robyn, Elton John, Tina Turner, Cher, Kylie Minogue - the list goes on!
Every second Wednesday of the month, the QUoir will come together at WA Museum Boola Bardip to rehearse and perform a different song.
Before you attend, read the frequently asked questions below and for any other queries, please reach out to reception@museum.wa.gov.au.

Song Schedule
Did someone say pop and disco? Sing your heart out to Pink Pony Club, a queer anthem about being in a place where you can truly be yourself.
True colours aren't just for rainbows! Embrace your inner beauty and find solace in song as QUoir takes on the iconic 80s hit True Colours, by Cyndi Lauper.
It's hard to resist the urge to sing along to the catchy chorus of It's Raining Men. In this session, we tackle the smash hit recorded by disco duo The Weather Girls.
Sing your heart out! We're taking QUoir to the next level. In this special edition, we bring you a different kind of singalong. Choose from a mix of karaoke favourites and queer anthems and if you're feeling brave enough, join Queency and the band onstage.
