The Spring into Parks exhibition showcases a beautiful quilt created by the West Australian Quilters Association and gifted to the WA Parks Foundation.
The impressive craftwork was inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of Western Australia’s stunning national park and reserves. Thirty-nine quilters contributed to the banner which was designed to promote the WA Parks Foundation’s Spring into Parks program. It is made up of individual mini quilts depicting WA fauna, flora, geological features, and Aboriginal cultural aspects.
You can Spring into Parks at the WA Museum by adding your own unique design to an Earth Sculpture facilitated by AWESOME Arts on Saturday 21 October between 10am and 12pm noon.
Spring into Parks celebrates our spectacular wilderness and access to nature through a diverse range of events and activities – from forest bathing to stargazing, hut building to flag making, nature journaling to morning bird walks, there is something for everyone.
