Where creativity brews and culture flows, inspired by Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor.
Pour yourself into something new. This series of tea-fuelled workshops blends ancient traditions with hands-on creativity — perfect for those looking to slow down, make something beautiful, and connect with culture.
Each session begins with a traditional tea ceremony led by Zing Arts Group. Learn about the significance of tea in Chinese culture, the beauty of teaware, brewing and steeping techniques, and the etiquette behind centuries-old rituals. Soothing live guzheng music forms part of the experience.
No experience needed, just bring your curiosity.
Explore our program below.
Workshops
Begin with a calming tea ceremony set to live guzheng music. Then, poet Lisa Collyer will guide you through a poetry writing session. Ponder the materiality of the Terracotta Warriors, reimagined in paper and light, and what lies in shadows. Explore strength beyond physical limits and the bonds of kin, whilst navigating colour, shape, and stature to write ekphrastic poetry for the senses.
All materials provided.
No prior experience required — just come ready to create.
