WA Museum in collaboration with the WA AIDS Council and local LGBTQIA+ community, will display the WA AIDS Memorial Quilts on World AIDS Day in 2023.

As we approach the first of December, we invite you to join us in commemorating the lives of Western Australians touched by the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.

At the heart of the installation, the WA AIDS Memorial Quilts spotlight stories of resilience and love in the face of adversity. Each hand-crafted panel is a testament to the unyielding strength of human connection and community spirit.

The Quilts will be open for viewing from the 1st - 3rd December and accompanied by a facilitated panel discussion the following day – In Conversation: Inter-generational dialogues on living with HIV.

Come by to honour the past and celebrate the present and future at this unique intersection of art, community, and conversation.

This display is in partnership with the WA AIDS Council. Image above displays 1 of 2 quilts.
