WA Museum, in collaboration with the WAAC and the broader community of people affected by HIV, is displaying the WA AIDS Memorial Quilt in recognition of World AIDS Day 2024.

1 December is World AIDS Day. As we lead up to this date, we invite you to join us in commemorating the lives of Western Australians affected by the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The WA AIDS Memorial Quilt share powerful stories of resilience and love in the face of adversity. Each hand-crafted panel is a testament to the enduring strength of human connection and community spirit.

Join us at this meaningful intersection of art and community to honour the past and celebrate the present and future.

Image displays 1 of 2 quilt blocks.

The Museum has collaborated with WAAC (formerly WA Aids Council) for this community display. For more resources and information, visit the WAAC website.
