Join us to hear some uniquely Western Australian stories this WA Day.

Boola Bardip means 'many stories' in Whadjuk Nyoongar and what better way to celebrate many stories this WA Day than with Nyoongar Story Time with local cultural educator and artist Rickeeta Walley.

Spend a special day with Rickeeta exploring the stories and language from the place that we live.

Story Time will take place throughout the day in 30 minute sessions, beginning at the following times:

  • 10am
  • 11am
  • 12pm
  • 1pm

Suitable for all of the family!

Rickeeta Walley

Rickeeta is a proud Nyoongar woman, living and working on Whadjuk country.  She works within her family business, Aboriginal Productions & Promotions, as a Cultural Educator and Researcher delivering cultural programs, workshops, and professional development training.  She also holds roles with Kings Park Education and the University of Western Australia.

She is passionate about cultural knowledge and language preservation. She believes it is Aboriginal people's right to hold their knowledge, and everyone's responsibility to learn, engage with and understand the ancient culture and country that we live on.
