Deb Shefi
Curator, Maritime Heritage
Deb Shefi has worked domestically and abroad as a maritime archaeologist and diver for over twenty years.
In addition to managing the Maritime Archaeology collection, she utilises innovative techniques to research artefacts , including ships’ cargo, personal items and coins.
Her field interests include the use of shipwrecks as climate change markers to better understand the chemical, physical and biological factors impacting site stability and to aid in the management of underwater cultural heritage.
