Join us for an evening of reflection as we revisit the story of Pitman and Walsh.

Marking 100 years since the dramatic events took place, hear a re-telling of the story of Pitman and Walsh. This special talk will unpack the events that led to their disappearances as both Inspectors were investigating a gold-stealing incident. We hear what the sentiment was at the time within the community and around the nation as police investigated their disappearances and the events that followed after their remains were discovered.

Hear fresh perspectives, reflect on how these stories and the people involved have been remembered, and consider their place in the Goldfields’ history today.

There will be a limited number of copies of The Gold Stealers book by Brian Purdue which will be available for purchase at the event.

Following the talk, light refreshments will be provided.

Note: We recommend participants are 18+ as this talk recounts historical events that involve violence. Some content may be disturbing and of a sensitive nature.
