Join us with an open heart as we listen deeply to Uncle Ben’s stories of the past and his experiences with the Ngaluk Waangkiny project.
His poignant, powerful stories can help us to understand what it was like for him to grow up Aboriginal in Perth, and to notice the differences and similarities to our own experiences and of those around us.
Uncle Ben Taylor Cuiermara is one of the Elders from Boorloo (Perth) who collaborated with the Community Arts Network to share their life journeys as part of this legacy project.

About Uncle Ben Taylor Cuiermara
Uncle Ben Taylor Cuiermara is a proud Noongar Yued Elder who has been fighting for justice for longer than most of us have even been alive!
Uncle Ben is now into his eighties, but you’ll still find him rousing up the crowd at demonstrations and rallies. For years he’s campaigned against Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, police brutality, homelessness racism and of course, land rights and sovereignty.
