This school holidays, nurture a lifelong love of the ocean.

Families can dive deep together into the wonders of marine life through hands-on activities, exhibits, interactive science stations, and real-world ocean adventures. 

Learn how sharks hunt, how coral reefs grow, and why our oceans need protecting now more than ever. With fun challenges, fascinating facts, and plenty of opportunities to get involved, it’s a great way for kids to explore, ask questions, and learn something new about the sea.

School holidays activities

Sea life plasters | $2 - $5
Creatures of the sea come in all shapes and colours. Find out how colour can be used as camouflage to protect against predators, then use your creative flair to paint a sea star, a killer whale, or a tropical fish.

Stained glass creations | $3
Using stained glass effects, paint an underwater-themed template to create a stunning art piece that will brighten any window or mirror.

Sea life pot plant stakes  | $2
Choose from a variety of wooden ocean-themed creatures to create a colourful plant pot decoration. Will you pick a clown fish that has a special relationship with anemones?

Ocean Micro-eye | Free
Take a closer look at some of the marine specimens with the digital Micro-eye. Zoom in to examine seaweed, shells, and other fascinating marine specimens.

Coral Reef Diorama | $8

Kids can explore the wonders of the ocean while building their very own underwater diorama scene!

3D Coral Reef Sculpture | $8 
11 and 18 July 2025 | Ages 5-12 | 10.30am - 12pm
Build your own vibrant underwater 3-dimensional sculpture using colourful materials, textures,and shapes inspired by real coral reefs.

Participants aged 12 and under must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
All required materials are provided.
