Narrated by Luke Hemsworth, 'The Great Kimberley Wilderness' is a 35-minute virtual reality documentary that transports you to one of the most spectacular and pristine landscapes in the world.
Guided by science and Traditional Owners, you will journey across magical coastlines, and venture into the heart of this ancient landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Fly over the edge of the thundering King George Falls, explore the vibrantly striped domes and majestic gorges of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park and travel back over 350 million years to the great Devonian Reef to explore ancient geology, that has been pivotal to life as we know it.
Almost two billion years in the making, get ready to experience the wonders, culture, and magic of this unique and precious landscape, like never before!

The VR Headset is not recommended for users 12 years old and under. They a still welcome to attend a session and enjoy the film in 2D.

50% visual – The Great Kimberley Wilderness has both sound and visual components but sight isn’t essential to meaningfully engage with the work.
50% sound – The Great Kimberley Wilderness includes dialogue and has background music and sounds.
If audience members are unable to wear a VR headset, there is a movie screen at the front of the room that will project the film in a traditional 2D cinema format so you can still enjoy the film experience.
The dialogue in The Great Kimberley Wilderness requires an understanding of the English language, but the visuals and sounds can be experienced without the language comprehension.
The VR headset is designed to accommodate most prescription glasses. Take care to wear the VR headset in a manner in which the VR headset lenses to not rub or impact your prescription lenses.

WA Museum Boola Bardip is providing a spectacular 360-degree VR cinema experience in a temporary immersive 250 sqm gallery, including a 60-seat VR cinema, with 7.1 surround sound system and large-scale digital projections across wall surfaces, to create a shared experience like no other.
