Shodo (Japanese calligraphy), is where an ink-dipped brush is used artistically to write kanji and kana characters on specialty papers.
This calligraphy remains a traditional part of Japan's culture.
In this workshop Ms Kai Ying Khoo, the Japanese teacher from North Albany Senior High School will lead you through the techniques and materials to create your own artistic lettering.
