ReCollect brings together contemporary artists from MIX Artists to explore memory, place, connection, and the traces left by lived experience.

Through a diverse range of media, the exhibition reflects on personal and collective stories, examining how we remember people, landscapes, objects, and moments that shape our identities. Drawing on the unique perspectives of artists from Western Australia's Great Southern region, ReCollect invites audiences to consider the ways memories are preserved, transformed, and reimagined over time. MIX Artists is a contemporary artists' association based in the Great Southern, fostering creative practice and dialogue through exhibitions and collaborative projects.

Artist Talks

Meet the artists and hear their creative processes and stories behind their artworks. Bring your questions and join the conversation!

  • Saturday 21 November 11am - Lynley Campbell, Merry Robertson, Robyn Lees Lizzie Riley and Kerrie Argent.
  • Sunday 6 December 1.30pm - Annette Davis, Catherine Higham, Nat Rad, Terri Pikora, Linda Chambers and Anne Copeman.

Cataloguing Your Objects

At selected sessions below, you're invited to bring along a treasured item and share its story. MIX Artist members will photograph your object and create a catalogue card celebrating its personal significance. Your catalogue card will then be displayed in the gallery alongside others, revealing how everyday objects can be reimagined as cultural artefacts worthy of care, attention and preservation.
  • Wednesday 25 November 1pm – 3pm
  • Sunday 6 December 11am – 1pm
