Discover the history of the Albany Woollen Mills and the future 'Connecting Threads Museum'.

Since its closure in 2002, the site of the Albany Woollen Mills has remained dormant. However, the memories and creative talents that breathe new life into their distinctive products have not.

Sally Pell (fabric artist) and David Theodore (museum curator) will share how original blankets can be crafted into beautiful jackets, bags, and wraps— and how, with support from the Albany community, a vision for a future 'Connecting Threads Museum' could take shape by 2026.

Presented by Sally Pell & David Theodore.

Sally Pell is a fabric artist who has turned a hobby into a Torbay-based business, selling coats and bags made from AWM products.

David Theodore is curator of the Princess Royal Fortress in Albany, and is also a practising visual artist.
