Join Ecologist Paul H Brown for a chat about his new book, Dryandra Woodland National Park: Unique Mammals and South-West Endemic Birds.

Discover the inspiration behind the book and meet the 27 mammals and 122 bush birds that call this 30,000-hectare park home. Learn how Dryandra’s diverse vegetation and predator control shape its landscapes, and hear how its remarkable wildlife connects, and contrasts, with that of Albany.

Presented by Paul H Brown, author and South-west ecologist.

Art Display

A Dryandra themed art exhibition featuring works by Merry Robertson and Anne Cochrane will accompany the book launch.

Anne Cochrane is an Albany textile artist with a special love of creating sculptural works in felt as well as botanical printing on fabric. She particularly enjoys working with the earthy, muted colours found in the environment. Many of the works displayed here are for sale.

Merry Robertson is an Albany artist who works in printmaking and drawing. With a special love for South West flora and fauna, she uses her artwork to send messages of beauty and preservation of our environment. Her works on display contain both originals and archival prints and are for sale.

Please note: This art display will be open for one day only in the Co-op Building.
