Discover more about two artists who painted Albany in the mid-19th century.

The Robert Dale panorama (1834) and the Duncan Cooper painting of Princess Royal Harbour (1854) each depict iconic views of Albany from an elevated aspect, twenty years apart.

Learn about the background of each artist and what were they aiming to achieve with their respective paintings, as we explore them in greater detail.

Presented by Malcolm Traill, Research Associate, Museum of the Great Southern.
